Dear Me

The day I packed my suitcase and stuffed a one-way plane ticket to San Francisco in my back pocket, my grandmother took me by the hand and said, “Just remember, it’s a waste of time to wait around to be invited to opportunities.” She also gave me some advice about love, but her wisdom about being sure that I hustle for my dreams has always stuck with me.
